Lavazza credits itself with inventing the concept of blending, "the art of combining different types of coffee from different geographical areas". Lavazza sources coffee beans from countries around the world including Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Indonesia, Mexico, Uganda, USA, and Vietnam.
Lavazza appreciates that an excellent raw material is essential for the quality of the end product, in the same way as it is essential to constantly control each processing stage. The experts in the Research & Development department monitor every stage of the production process, through to the moment the coffee reaches the cup.
At Vero Coffee Co, we have carefully selected the most popular ranges of Lavazza coffee for our customers, including Espresso Beans, Ground Coffee, and Capsules.
The Lavazza Story
1895 marked the official foundation of Lavazza, when Luigi Lavazza took over a grocery store in the heart of Turin (Torino). The goods on sale are produced or processed directly at the shop: soap, spirits, oil, spices and, of course, coffee. In 1910, the first blend of Lavazza coffee was born, combining the origins available to Luigi to obtain the finest product.
Today, Lavazza is one of the most important roasters in the world, a leader in Italy with a 48% share of the retail market. Lavazza is present in over 90 countries around the world. For more than 110 years, this truly global brand has been blending the highest quality coffee.
